Cookie policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies BULLISH UK SERVICES LTD sets on Bullish UK and why. The short version: we set two, both of which are strictly necessary for the site to work, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on subsequent requests. It is how a website recognises that two requests came from the same visitor, which is what makes staying signed in possible at all.
2. The cookies we set
Session cookie
- Purpose: identifies your browser so you remain signed in as you move between pages.
- Contains: a random identifier. No personal data is stored in the cookie itself.
- Lifetime: expires when the session ends, by default two hours after your last activity.
- Category: strictly necessary. Without it you could not sign in.
CSRF token cookie
- Purpose: protects forms against cross-site request forgery, where another site tries to make your browser submit an action here without your knowledge.
- Contains: a random token tied to your session.
- Lifetime: the same as the session cookie.
- Category: strictly necessary. It is a security control, not a convenience.
3. What we do not use
To be specific rather than vague about this, we do not set:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Third-party analytics cookies.
- Social media tracking pixels.
- Cross-site identifiers or fingerprinting scripts.
There is no third-party script on this site that reads your activity. That is also why you are not presented with a consent banner: under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user has requested do not require consent. If we ever add a non-essential cookie, we will ask first.
4. Local storage
Separately from cookies, the site stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage — for example, a note that you dismissed the "install this app" prompt, so it does not reappear on every visit. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
5. Service worker and offline cache
If you install this site as an app, a service worker caches pages and assets on your device so it can work without a connection. This cache holds the site's own files rather than personal data, and uninstalling the app or clearing site data removes it.
6. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Because the two cookies described above are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in or submitting any form on this site. Clearing them signs you out, which is the only effect.
7. Changes
If the cookies we set change, this page will be updated and the date above revised. Material changes affecting your privacy will also be communicated by email.
